Teresa Connors

Teresa is active in manyaspects of music: opera singer, acoustic/electroacoustic composer, film scorer,and multimedia installation artist. Originally from Canada, Teresa holds a Masterof Music degree in composition (1st class honours) from WaikatoUniversity in New Zealand and studied both composition and opera singing atDalhousie University in Nova Scotia as well as the Banff Center for theArts. Her creative works have receivedawards and support from the Canada Council for the Arts, British Columbia ArtsCouncil, Bravo Fact and have been presented at international conferences, filmfestivals, and galleries. Her current PhD funded research includes developingnew methodologies and techniques for multimedia collaborations: the resultsfrom which Teresa was awarded with the 2014 Creative and Performing Art Personof the Year at the University of Waikato.
