Teresa Tackett
Communications Coordinator in Oklahoma
My name is Teresa Tackett. A red-dirt girl born and raised, I'm proud to call Oklahoma home. I believe a little glitter and grit never hurt anyone in life.
Earning my B.A. in public relations in 2011 and being an Oklahoma State Alumnae (Go Pokes!) is one of my proudest accomplishments. As a result, I decided to return to OSU as a graduate student in the mass communications program and expect to earn my degree in May 2016. I'm also pretty lucky to have the opportunity to work for my alma mater as the communications coordinator in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at #okstate. You can learn more about my professional accomplishments at my LinkedIn profile (linked below).
Professionally, my interests focus on digital and print media strategy, including writing and editing content for multi-media platforms, campaign development and event planning. Collaborating with partners to research, develop, execute and evaluate public relations initiatives in an innovative and creative way is my passion. I enjoy the challenge of an ever-changing media landscape while also helping others realize the power of strategic communication.
Personally, I enjoy reading a good book the old-fashioned way - turning actual pages and all! I spend as much time in the outdoors as I can to refocus and re-energize. A lover of words, I enjoy reading, writing and learning something new each day. I travel as often as I'm able and listen to music to fill the silence. You can always find a magazine in my tote bag and a new playlist on my phone. Spending time with the special people (and animals) in my life is the best gift I can give myself. Creativity feeds my soul. My mantra: A little whimsy goes a long way.
I am many things to many people. A daughter, a sister, an aunt, a friend. If you were to ask me who I am, I would tell you I am a life-long learner and achiever. I would love to tell you my story.
