My name is Teresita, and I am currently a junior at the University of Washington Bothell, majoring in Health Studies. I am originally from Jalisco, Mexico and fluent in two languages, English and Spanish. I am a person that loves the great outdoors and I respect the environment. Fishing and hiking are my favorite outdoor activities.

I am passionate about helping people. I stand out in the community as a Health Educator to prevent diseases brought on by food borne illness. I focus a lot on the Latino community, delivering information, and the regulations for food preparation, so that the public can apply them to avoid any illness outbreaks, due to food borne illness. This job has blessed me with great organizational, and conflict resolution skills, and has allowed me to perfect my community development skills. I value teamwork and enjoy collaborating with community partners to plan health education activities. I am emphasizing my work with the community, creating effective health education results that help people, especially Latinos, adopt healthy behaviors to avoid illnesses, while at the same time adhering to their new environment.

I want to work for a public operation that focuses most of its time and resources on helping people. I have a feeling of satisfaction knowing that I can find the resources that will help the community. I would say that I am a person who has empathy for others, and I like helping people succeed.
