Eva Zeisel said that in a lecture I a ttended a few years ago, and it stuck with me. She's a 106 year old designer from Hungary. She also said that the reason she emigrated was because she wanted to see what was on the other side of the mountain, but that's another story.

Over time and through my own work I have expanded on her idea, and have come to believe that the interactive things and experiences have potential to connect us to one another. Deeply. The thoughtful design of objects, environments and interactions is how I aspire to connect each of us to where we are, and where we stand– emotionally, in relation to ourselves, to each other, and to the world.

I'm a designer of these emotional bridges between people, as well as an actual bridge. So if you like, you can see what's on the other side.
