Teri Karjala

Teri Karjala is currently the owner of the GO TO counseling center for those dealing with childhood trauma throughout the state of Colorado.

In addition to running her private practice, she provides:

• individual counseling

• group counseling

• and offers trainings in the community

Teri has worked in the field for the past 12 years specializing in working with children and adolescents, and adults who have experienced trauma.

Teri believes that the client/counselor relationship is crucial in the therapeutic process.

She meets the client where they are at and works at a pace that the client is in control of. Teri’s approach is supportive, warm, and collaborative. Teri is integrative in her approach, using various counseling theories and techniques to treat the “whole” person.

Depending on the client’s goals in therapy she may draw from, experiential, cognitive behavioral therapy, humanistic, and/or systemic approaches. Teri’s passion is helping people through life’s challenges and creating a life of hope, happiness, and harmony.
