I am a researcher based in Washington, DC, where I study U.S. foreign policy in the Indo-Pacific region. As a Non-Resident Fellow at the Korea Economic Institute of America (KEI), I have written about challenges facing the U.S.-Republic of Korea alliance, including North Korean nuclear and chemical weapons, regional trade agreements, and South Korean engagement with Pacific Islands.

I have previously worked at a journalist, supporting coverage of DC for NK News, the Asahi Shimbun, and TV Asahi.

In 2015, I received my Master of Public Policy degree from the School of Public Policy at Pepperdine University. I previously received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Japanese Language from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 2013. I also studied at Hiroshima University from 2010 to 2011.
