Terrence Sweeney
Terrence Sweeney began his career by managing accounts first for Saatchi & Saatchi Worldwide, then for BBDO, two leading advertising and communications firms based out of New York. Between these two companies, Terrence Sweeney oversaw such accounts for corporate customers such as Northwest Airlines, Inc., General Mills Inc., Gillette, and FedEx.
Terrence Sweeney then accepted a position with British Airways, a $3 billion company, as the Director of Advertising & Communications. In this role, he supervised all marketing, advertising, and sponsorship endeavors. Eventually, he took on the position of Vice President of Marketing for Sirius Satellite Radio.
After nearly three years with Sirius Satellite Radio, Terrence Sweeney became Senior Vice President of Marketing & Business Development for the media and marketing firm, TMPG. Nearly four years later, he seized the opportunity to join Comcast as Vice President of Marketing. The company is the leading communications, information, and entertainment provider in the nation, serving millions of subscribers nationwide. While at in this position, he directed the Triple Play strategic campaign that bundled TV, digital phone, and high-speed Internet into a single package. In addition, Terrence Sweeney developed the award-winning advertising campaign, “It’s Comcastic!”
After nearly four years at Comcast, Terrence Sweeney changed to Sand Cherry Associates, a global consultant firm that has developed best-in-class strategic management solutions for clients in the broadband, telecommunications, and media industries. As a consultant, he formulated individualized programs for market growth for each of his clients.
Currently, Terrence Sweeney works as Chief Marketing Officer for Reputation.com, Inc., a start-up that has founded the entirely new industry of online reputation management. To date, Reputation.com has raised over $65 million in funding from investors including Jafco Ventures, Bessemer Venture Partners, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, FLOODGATE Fund, and most recently, August Capital, who was one of the earliest investors in Microsoft and Intuit, Inc. Reputation.com was recently recognized by the World Economic Forum as a 2011 Technology Pioneer award winner, and endorsed by the leading information technology analyst firm, Gartner, Inc., as a 2011 Cool Vendor.
