We hear lot about history from ancient Africa and the Middle passage and so we should.

For some reason, our history from the end of World War I through the Civil Rights Movement has been of particular interest to me.There is so much in that era of our past that has a direct link to our contemporary society and contains a strong frame of reference that can help us navigate through out tenuous times.

It is not taught in schools. Most of our under forty crowd are not familiar with the social, cultural and economic transitions. It's fascinating! It's sad; it's meaningful and just plain mean, but it is our history. It's coming in my next work, Light of the August Moon; Poetic storytelling. Does it capture everything? Of course not, but it plants enough seed to get a full view of where we were, where we are and how we got here. You can follow me on Pintrest to get a pictorial view of my manuscript.

I am a poet, author, narrator, public speaker and dabble around on the small stage. Most of my work highlights our history, humor, spiritual grounding and family to promote a reasonably wholesome sense of being in a world of chaos.
