The firm’s team consults for growing companies and entrepreneurs in the retail, environmental, health care, entertainment, manufacturing, and hospitality industries. Terry Gaouette and the staff provide mentoring, strategic planning, performance measurement, and leadership training for clients in the public and private sectors. In total revenue size, projects tackled by Gaouette & Associates range from $1 million to $200 million. With two decades of consulting experience, Terry Gaouette’s company features a track record of establishing more than 50 Tax Incremental Financing (TIF) district plans to benefit clients. Gaouette & Associates have set up more than 15 Business Improvement District (BID) and Tax Increment District (TID) plans in different states, so he can guide potential clients who seek this form of funding for their projects. Mr. Gaouette also offers considerable experience connecting new companies with funding sources in the federal government. On a regular basis, the firm works with the U.S. Departments of Treasury, Agriculture, and Energy to identify funding alternatives for private sector projects. Terry Gaouette can also guide clients to resources from the U.S. Small Business Administration, which provides grants, low-interest loans, and other public incentives. In addition, he and his colleagues assist commercial real estate developers with community improvement initiatives and economic development projects. In the past, Terry Gaouette has served as a Managing Director or Chief Financial Officer for such Fortune 1000 firms as The Rime Companies, H.C. Prange Co., Petrie Stores Corporation, and Federated Department Stores, Inc. A Certified Public Accountant and member of the American Institute of CPAs and Wisconsin Institute of CPAs, he also qualifies as a Certified Management Accountant and member of the Institute of Management Accountants, Inc. Terry Gaouette earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a focus on Accounting, and a Master of Business Administration from Marquette University. He also earned a Master of Arts in Political Science with a focus on Public Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
