Terry Chucas

Terry Chucas has earned widespread legal industry regard as a family attorney. Rated AV by the Martindale-Hubbell attorney rating service, he also earned recognition in 2013 as one of San Diego's Top Attorneys in San Diego Magazine. Acknowledged as well as Family Lawyer of the Year in 2005 in the San Diego Daily Transcript, Terry Chucas has received court appointment to argue many of the most complex divorce cases heard by the Superior Court of San Diego. Furthermore, Attorney Chucas has been selected as a member of the Dependency Appellate Panel in San Diego's Fourth District Court of Appeal as well as of the same panel in Los Angeles' Second District Court of Appeal.

Before undertaking a legal career, Terry Chucas achieved success as executive vice president of N.B. Cook, Inc., a developer of nursing homes in and around Vancouver, British Columbia. He accepted this position following a decade-long tenure as an insurance agent with State Farm Insurance of San Diego. He entered the insurance industry following an honorable discharge from the Royal Canadian Navy, into which he enlisted as a midshipman and advanced through dedicated service to become a commissioned officer. Terry Chucas now holds a juris doctor from the Thomas Jefferson School of Law and opened his private practice in 1990, through which he represents children and their parents in dependency court appeals.
