Terry Cameron Ferdinand
Institutional Risk & Resilience Strategist | Enterprise Risk | Capital Preservation | Fiscal Policy | Workforce Development
When macroeconomic uncertainty, regulatory change, and market volatility threaten institutional performance, Terry helps organisations strengthen resilience, protect capital, and make better strategic decisions.
He works at the intersection of enterprise risk management, financial strategy, governance, fiscal policy, and workforce development, translating global economic intelligence into practical solutions for organisations operating across West Africa.
Professionally, Terry serves as Sales Manager at Custodian Life Assurance Limited, a member of Custodian Investment Plc, where he leads a team of 30 financial advisors.
As a NAICOM and CIIN licensed insurance advisor, he helps organisations, business owners, and professionals deploy insurance as a strategic risk-transfer mechanism to preserve assets, protect business continuity, optimise qualifying personal income tax relief through life insurance, safeguard key people, and strengthen long-term wealth and retirement planning. Through his advisory and executive education initiatives, more than 1,700 professionals have strengthened their financial planning and risk management capabilities.
In 2025, Terry founded Camferd Partners Nigeria Limited, a risk and revenue advisory firm helping organisations improve decision quality, regulatory readiness, capital allocation, revenue optimisation, and institutional resilience.
His advisory approach combines macroeconomic analysis, enterprise risk management, governance, and fiscal strategy to help organisations anticipate disruption and respond with confidence.
His work draws upon global economic research, including publicly available insights from the World Economic Forum, alongside regional fiscal and regulatory intelligence.
Beyond corporate practice, Terry contributes to national economic development through the Nigeria Economic Summit Group (NESG) as a member of both the Fiscal Policy and Workforce Development Policy Commissions, supporting policy recommendations that strengthen Nigeria's economic competitiveness and human capital.
He is also recognised for facilitating strategic dialogue, serving as a panelist at the 2025 BusinessDay Insurance Conference and moderator of the 2026 BusinessDay Pension Conference, contributing to conversations on financial resilience, pensions, workforce transformation, and sustainable economic development.
Terry has served on the Boards of JCI Eko (2024–2025), JCI Nigeria South-West, and Time Africa Network, contributing to organisational governance, strategic direction, leadership development, and ecosystem growth.
As Co-founder and Chief Programme Officer of Time Africa Network, a US-based media company founded alongside Harvard and Howard alumni, he leads programme strategy that advances the Afroneavue movement by amplifying African entrepreneurship, leadership, innovation, and culture through media, strategic partnerships, and cross-sector collaboration.
Within JCI, Terry has held local, national, and international board roles. He served on the JCI Eko Social Enterprise Programme in 2023 and, as Programme Team Lead in 2024, expanded the multinational incubator across Nigeria, Zimbabwe, and Benin in partnership with LEAP Africa, Enactus Nigeria, Junior Achievement Nigeria, FATE Foundation, and other ecosystem partners. The programme connected entrepreneurs to mentorship, accelerator opportunities, and more than US$460,000 in grants and funding opportunities, culminating in the Best International Cooperation Project Award at the 2024 JCI World Congress.
As Area Director of Skills Development for JCI Nigeria South-West, Terry oversees regional leadership and professional development initiatives, building the capabilities of emerging leaders across multiple countries while strengthening institutional leadership pipelines.
His social impact journey began in 2004 as Co-founder and General Secretary of the Deprived Children Movement, partnering with organisations including Oxfam, LASACA, and the Society for Family Health to support more than 10,000 students and contribute to stakeholder engagement around the Lagos State Child Rights Act.
Terry holds a B.Sc. in Business Administration from the University of Lagos and is a Master of Risk Management (MRM) researcher at the University of Lagos, focusing on enterprise risk management and organisational resilience.
He also holds executive certifications in Finance, Entrepreneurship, Blue Ocean Strategy, and Cultural Intelligence from Quantic School of Business and Technology.
Whether advising executives, contributing to public policy, strengthening governance, or developing future leaders, Terry is guided by a simple conviction: resilient economies are built by protecting capital, strengthening institutions, and equipping people to lead through uncertainty.
