Terry Ferencik

A well-regarded registered nurse, Terry Ferencik has built a career on helping others, garnering a number of honored distinctions for her exceptional professional contributions throughout her career. Recognized for her hospice work, Terry Ferencik possesses a Certified Hospice and Palliative Care Administrator credential, which is held by only 90 individuals throughout the United States. Additionally, her ongoing efforts helped Companion Hospice to achieve certification in 2011 through The Joint Commission, a health care standards organization. With extensive experience in both hospitals and hospice facilities, Ms. Ferencik formerly focused on managing injuries sustained to a patient’s head and spinal column.

After graduating from the Albany Medical Center School of Nursing in New York, Terry Ferencik earned a degree as a registered nurse in 1976. Previously, she attended Mount Clemens High School in Michigan. Following the completion of her education, she became a Clinical Liaison for Whittier Hospital Medical Center’s Rehabilitation Services, a health care group based in Bradford, Massachusetts. Ms. Ferencik served in this role until 2002. Between 2002 and 2007, she worked for Odyssey HealthCare, Inc. As an Administrator and Registered Nurse, she acted as the company’s General Manager for the entire Los Angeles and Orange County region. Odyssey HealthCare, Inc., ranks as one of the nation’s largest palliative care networks designed for patients with terminal illnesses.

Terry Ferencik currently serves as both Hospice Administrator and Area Director of Operations for Companion Hospice, a growing Southern California hospice and palliative care group. Ms. Ferencik joined the staff at Companion Hospice in 2007. Initially recruited as an Administrator, she subsequently received a promotion to Area Director of Operations in Los Angeles and the San Fernando, San Gabriel, and Simi valleys and now maintains both roles.

Residing in Long Beach, Terry Ferencik possesses an array of recreational interests. She enjoys traveling, bicycling, hiking, and SCUBA diving. She also likes reading whenever time permits. Additionally, Ms. Ferencik supports the Southern California Hospice Foundation and regularly participates in local community renewal initiatives.
