I have learned and done a lot of things in this class, IB Prep. For example, I learned a lot from hands on activities, from in class assignment, and our 20% projects. The 20% project is a year long project with target dates and allows the students to go in dept with their ideas. At the beggining of the year we picked a topic of our choice and the 20% project is related to that. For example, some projects that we have to finish at target dates are newsletters, cartoon strips, and movies. I learned a lot of things in this class, especially with hands on activities. One thing I learned was the formula of the slope of a line with an activity called the bungee baseball. This activity was connecting a baseball to many rubber bands and dropping it from a certain height. The objective was to make the baseball not hit the floor. Another hands on activity that I learned from was an assignment called the pasta bridge. We as a group created a bridge out of dried pasta and tape. After you made the bridge, you put it in between two tables and we hooked a paper clip connected to a can to the middle of the bridge. We had a competition against other groups on who's bridge could survive the most marbles that were put into the can. Our objective was the make to middle of the bridge strong so that it could hold more pressure. This IB Prep class is a ton of fun and you learn a lot too. The most important thing I learned and will keep it with me for the rest of my life is "Content is King."
