Terry Leonard

Terry Leonard has produced a number of indie films. His career started in 2001 with the short "Climbing Miss Sophie" which played at Sundance and Tribeca Film Festivals and winning awards from the DGA and many film festivals. His feature film success started in 2002 with "Virgin" starring Robin Wright-Penn, which was nominated for two Independent Spirit Award in 2003 and had a small theatrical release and "Particles of Truth" which won numerous awards and had a nice theatrical run in 2004 ... In 2007 Leonard produced in Louisiana the adaptation of the award-winning novel "Dream Boy", which premiered at the 2008 Berlin International Film Festival and won best screenplay at the 2008 L.A. Outfest. Leonard is a stable at the Sundance Film Festival, premiering such films as “Hounddog” in 2007, starring Dakota Fanning, which opened in theaters in 2008. Leonard also produced "Stephanie Daley" starring Amber Tamblyn, Tilda Swinton and Timothy Hutton, which won Best Screenplay at Sundance in 2006 and got Amber Tamblyn nominated for best actress at the 2007 Independent Spirit Awards for her remarkable performance ... Leonard’s productions have shot all across the country in LA, Las Vegas, Austin, New Orleans, Michigan, North Carolina and New York which Leonard shot numerous films in like "Sordid Things", "The Last International Playboy", “Backseat” and recently two new films “The Boarding House” starring Nick Stahl & Alicia Witt and “Recalled” starring Seth Gabel, Bow Wow, Pablo Schreiber and Aidan Quinn. In other countries Leonard is also working in South Africa currently in production of “The Forgotten Kingdom”. When Leonard is not working on features he also produces commercials and music videos with his production company Strongman. He currently splits his time between New York City, Denver and Los Angeles.
