Teslin Jason

Hi, I’m Teslin. A student living in Johannesburg, currently a 3rd year pre-service Life sciences and Geography teacher. It is an endeavour that is not only an exciting experience but challenging as well .

Working with people is something that I have found to enjoy. This draws from my tutoring experiences at Silver Oaks Secondary, being a second year life sciences tutor and being a Sunday school teacher .

Additionally, I am a patient listener and clear communicator, which is critical to being a Teacher. My ability to patiently listen and empathize makes people feel appreciated. Thus establishing a pedagogy of care with my future students is something I strive for.

My goal is to become one of the greatest Life Sciences teachers and later in life , a biology Professor abroad. Moreover, accommodate the variety of students so that they can learn at their best and reach their full potential .
Education and knowledge lays the foundation to anything that can be accomplished in life . So I believe and serve to establish the power to education for the new generation , thereby increasing their possibility for a better future. Moreover , I am eager to become a qualified teacher.

In my copious free time i enjoy reading, cooking, music, and spending time with friends and family. While being strong, persistent, courageous and enjoying my journey

Finally, Teslin as an adventurer would love to travel to amazing places, continue to meet wonderful people and finish my B Ed degree with distinction
