Tessa Coombes
Bristol, United Kingdom
Hi, I'm Tessa Coombes, a town planner by profession but a policy specialist by trade. I have lived in Bristol for just over 30 years now and love it.
I have been an academic, a project manager, a sustainability champion, policy director and a local politician. After being made redundant in August 2013 I took a year out to do an MSc in Public Policy at Bristol University, a course I have always been interested in but never had the time to do! I have just completed that course and for the next 3 years will be staying on at the University to do a PhD in Social Policy. I am also enjoying the freedom to share my own views with others through my own blog and an occasional column and comment piece in Bristol 24-7.
My interests are varied. I write about policy changes at local and national level, politics and about what’s happening in my adopted home city of Bristol. I’m a town planner and policy wonk with an interest in politics.
