“As long as there is breath in my body I will write, ‘spit’, and create and write poetry, because having this gift among many others, is not an option as to whether I want to share it. It is a requirement from God to share them.” - Testimony Lyrical Artist

At the age of 13, Testimony discovered her passion for poetry. When asked one day what she wanted to be when she grew up, she boldly proclaimed that she was going to be a writer. Since then, “writer” has evolved into “artistic soul shifter”. Though it wasn’t clear to her then where that came from, she now understands that it came from the Holy Spirit.

Testimony released her first spoken word project by God’s grace in2010 entitled, “Out of This Vessel.” She’s been a featured poet on “Spoken Word At Joe’s Place” on WHUR and has ministered in spoken word several times at her Alma Mater, Howard University. Testimony has been blessed to share her gift on Rejoice TV Network, an Anne Arundel County television station, as well as on many local stages. In August of 2014, Testimony partnered with the DC Youth Council of the Washington DC Mayor’s office, where she shared a motivational speech with youth from ages 14-20 years old.

Testimony is currently working on her next spoken word CD, a book, and is in the process of developing poetry and art workshops.

The question was asked, “what do you want to be when you grow up” and my soul proclaimed that I was going to be an “artistic soul shifter”.
