Be the change you wish to see in the world, but do not expect the world to change with the strides you make. Your ability to change the world is great, but never undermine the change the world has had on you.

My name is Tevin Shouse and I have been born and raised in the state of Kentucky. I am on the verge of adult hood and I am a student of Berea College in Berea, Kentucky. I have had every interest in the book known to mankind, but working and serving others has captured my heart and remains my true passion. I am a part of a world that is torn and I hope to one day be a firm member of the community that is "held together by duct tape," the non-profit sector of employment. My greatest aspiration is to help others as they have helped me and make a difference in this world for the betterment of others.

Currently, I am working with the organization Operation Hope in Chicago, Illinois as an intern to both the Development Coordinator and the Program Manager of Banking On Our Future (BOOF). I am excited to be keeping an updated blog of my experiences here. While attending Berea College, I have the distintic priviledge of working in the Center for Excellence in Learning through Service (CELTS) where I am the Program Manager of People Who Care. This program works with social justice issues such as domestic violence, fair trade, hunger, and homelessness in creating compassion in the lives of students on the campus through off-campus volunteering opportunities and on-campus events.
