Vertebroplasty

Here at Texas Pain Relief Group we have seen our fair share of spinal injuries. One issue that we see a lot is known as a compression fracture of a vertebra. This most typically results from Osteoporosis or Osteopenia where the human bone is weaker than usual. In other words, a vertebra couldn’t handle the force exerted on it and resulted in the fracture of that vertebra. To fix this fracture we use a procedure known as Vertebroplasty; this is where we inject bone cement into the fractured vertebra through a small hole in the skin.
