Thomas Goldhar
Student, Musician, and Filmmaker in Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Ever since I was a kid, I have always been highly driven by creating and sharing stories. My first memory of this is being a 10-year-old and wrangling all of the kids on my street to take part in making a film. I had the clipboard, the printed sign-in sheet and the script and I was ready to get a production going. Today, I’m a student, a creator and a storyteller. As a video creator, my goal is to create content for clients that is meaningful, high quality and informative. My education at Ryerson’s Media Production program has given me experience in all aspects of production, including camera work, editing, audio, directing and producing. As a director, I derive a lot of my experience from my previous work as an actor, and use that knowledge alongside my technical skills to work with actors to create strong narratives and engaging video content. I have experience creating video for companies such as the Eileen Fisher Leadership Institute in New York, a summer program designed to build confidence and leadership skills in teenagers, as well as one of Toronto’s well known independent podcast network Never Sleeps Network. My goal as a film creator is to do my best to share new stories, amplify voices, and upgrade a brands online presence.
