My career goal is to find a job that I love doing and to look forward to going to work, whether that be teaching, or working at Google. Regardless of what I'm doing, I want to love where I am.I was born and raised in southeast Texas. I was schooled at home until college where I was offered a full ride to Lamar University. Initially I wasn't too happy about going but it was the best option over all. However, once I got to Lamar and was able to see how much it offered I quickly changed my mind. I entered as an Electrical Engineering major but changed it this year to be Computer Science.I love my school mainly because of how easy it is to get involved and make a difference. I help found a chapter of Alpha Tau Omega national fraternity and we have risen to the second largest fraternity within two years. I have joined and participated in many things and I will list what I can remember, going into detail in the last two as they are some of the most important. I have tutored in all math up to calculus three as well as physics, chemistry and philosophy. I have taught C++ programming to groups in supplemental instruction sessions. I have lead tours, counseled students and created pamphlets for the New Student Orientation that every new student must attend. I have acted as an Engineering Ambassador to bring alumni and potential students around the engineering facilities. I served the local chapter of IEEE as their Student Government Association (SGA) representative. The last two, and most important in my opinion are being appointed unanimously by the senate as the SGA vice president and a student researcher for STAIRSTEP, a research organization on campus. The story behind me being appointed vice president is long and monotonous. In short, there was a coup, led by the previous vice president that tried to overthrow the SGA president. It was overturned by the university president and the SGA vice president dropped out of school. I was the only student chosen to be on the SGA revision committee that the Vice President of Student Engagement, Dr. McNeil formed. We spent hours upon hours reviewing by-laws, interviewing senators, looking over impeachment charges, and finally summing up our finding in a set of suggestions that we presented to the SGA senate. A few weeks passed and I was then alerted by Dr. McNeil that the senate had decided to choose me as interim vice president. I accepted and have been holding the position until elections are to occur. Then I will run alo
