I am currently a senior majoring in pre-veterinary medicine at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (U of I). I have prior experience in researching in both TILT (Training in Lab Techniques) at Chicago State University (former school) and SROP (Summer Research Opportunites Program). I also have experience working at Hyde Park Animal Hospital and U of I Poultry farm.
My current research mentor is Dr. Margarita Teran-Garcia. I am interested researching the effects of diabetes in animal models. I plan on furthering my education in graduate school, studying immunology in zoonotic diseases.
