My name is Thabiso Langa. I am a Bachelor of Education student at the University of Johannesburg, originating from Nkandla, KwaZulu-Natal. I major in IsiZulu and Neurodevelopmental Learning Needs which were majors I chose for reasons very close to my heart: I chose to be an IsiZulu teacher because of how I grew up around people looking down upon the language, their own language - hence I have always had the desire to make people fall in love with the language again, make them fall in love with their culture again; I chose my second major motivated by the lack of academic support I witnessed my sister get even though she was differently abled, I chose it with the intention of increasing the number of teachers and individuals who are knowledgeable about and who care about such learners and individuals in general.

As I maneuver through adjusting to the busy life of the city of Johannesburg and balancing my student life in the process, I am finding that everyday is a lesson and as an individual it is important to build for myself an element of versatility and resilience in order to effeciently and purposefuly accomplish and achieve all my goals (short term and long term) and ultimately what I would consider success.
