Thabit Hamror

Driven by a passion for languages (AR,EN,ES,DE,FR,NL), writing, politics and cultural diversity, I aim for a career in digital content production and e-marketing, especially with international organisations committed to social causes and generating positive political influence. Coming from various cultural backgrounds (Middle East, North Africa, Asia, Europe), I wish to contribute in grounded intellectual and socio economic progress by utilising technology and online media.

My name is Thabit and I am a Multipod, or better known as “Multipotentialite” and I borrow the term from Emilie Wapnick, who herself is a multipotentialite, an entrepreneur, a web designer, filmmaker, writer, and law graduate. Wapnick has so clearly defined the term as the embracing of plurality that many of us carry in ourselves where we have various interests in seemingly unrelated fields, but we have the ability to bring them together in unique ways. The three key capabilities of the multipod according to Wapnick are: 1)Idea synergy 2)Rapid learning, and 3)Adaptability. I grew up between Jeddah and Khartoum speaking Arabic (sudanese/middle eastern/gulf/classic), and English, with a British education system and Pakistani syllabus, in an international environment. Later on I moved to Kuala Lumpur of Malaysia, where I was able to explore different interests in biology (High school option), engineering, (bio-instrumentation engineering) architecture (Alfa college), languages (self-taught polyglot), communication, business and marketing (3 years experience with digital and online marketing).

As I aspire to participate in the political arena in the coming future, I am currently doing a distance learning political science, administration and sociology program with the University of Hagen in Germany while based in Brussels.
