I am very excited to be working alongside the counseling division in Oak Park. I feel lucky to spend much of my week with professionals who are committed to students, families, and the local community the way that Oak Park counselors are. I taught in Chicago Public Schools for 13 years and will complete my master's degree in school counseling May of 2015. I look forward to joining the profession in a high functining work environment with an established administration and counseling program.

Role Description: I am currently working with Kris Johnson on tracking 33 8 to 9 students with a tool we created to identify early intervention for students needing support. In addition to these duties, I am covering Julie's desk while she is out and assiting Tia Marr with her 8th period AE class. I am also carrying a case load of 5 students with whom I am providing various levels of intervention for improving their organization, time management, task completion, and study habits.
