Thaís Cristina Martino Sehn
Designer, Teacher, and Art Director in Pelotas, Brasil
Thais Sehn is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Design at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS - Brazil) with a Brazillian scholarship from Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES). As part of her doctoral program, she was a Visiting Researcher and a Fulbright Scholarship Grantee at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC - US).
Previously, she worked as a professor, teaching Graphic and Digital Design topics in two universities in Brazil, at Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS, 2017) and Federal University of Pelotas (UFPel, 2014-2016). After that, she established her graphic design studio, Âme Studio Criativo.
Now, she is studying the interpersonal benefits for adults that read-aloud for each other and how Design could enhance the reading experience for the listener. Her main interests are Editorial Design; Emotional Design; Experience Design; Social reading; and Positive Psychology.
