Thai Temple Archive is an independent non-commercial project with one goal: to photograph, research and document every Buddhist temple in Thailand.

There are over 40,000 wats across the country — from ancient royal temples in Bangkok to forgotten shrines deep in rural provinces. Many have never been photographed. Some are disappearing.

We are building a free open database: photos, addresses, GPS coordinates, history, visiting hours and architecture details for every temple we find. No ads. No paywalls. Open forever.
