Hi. My name is Thamsanqa Ndlovu. I am a management consultant currently living in Boston, Massachusetts. I am interested in social entrepreneurship, innovation, politics and Hip Hop music.
I have an eclectic educational background. I currently hold three degrees across the humanities, legal and business management fields. My highest qualification is an MSc in International Business.
I have lived and worked on three different continents, namely Africa, North America and Europe. I have worked almost exclusively in M&A, providing due diligence advice in the legal context as a Candidate Attorney and later to businesses as a management consultant. Cumulatively, I have worked in the M&A space for three years with reputable clients, including some listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
My top hard skills include data analysis (formatting, pivot tables, SQL, dashboards, data formatting etc), due diligence reporting, survey design, drafting and review of legal documents, financial management (valuation, fin analysis, investment performance etc.), business strategy, operations management (planning, execution and control), entrepreneurial marketing (market sizing, identifying market dynamics -competitors, determining brand positioning, identifying customer needs, targeting, channel identification etc.) & forecasting.
My soft skills include data presentation, leadership in cross-cultural settings, lateral approaches to problem solving, interpersonal communication and active listening, problem understanding and context switching/deep focus.
Some other notable information about me includes the fact that I studied at the Ashridge Business School in London on an exchange program, worked alongside the Global Vice President of Domino’s Pizza to increase market share in their UK and Mexico markets by a 5% margin, participated in the Hult Prize competition sponsored by the Clinton Foundation and am the co-founder of Copperfield Construction - a Zimbabwean-based family business focused on providing affordable housing to indigent sectors of the population.
