Tara Hanada
San Diego
Originally from Los Angeles, Tara moved to San Diego to attend San Diego State University. She graduated from SDS with a B.A. in journalism with an emphasis in public relations. She is driven toward becoming a PR specialist in entertainment or sports, and is especially interested in event planning.
Tara was most recently the public relations intern at Formula PR on the consumer tech team.
Tara is experienced in the planning, preparation, promotion and execution of large (fundraising) events. She has assisted with KPBS Celebrates: Masquerade de Venezia, KPBS Celebrates Gala Inspired by Downton Abbey and KPBS Golf Classic, yearly events from which all proceeds are used to support the station. Duties included pitching events, creating media lists, procuring auction items and soliciting sponsorship and drafting press releases.
She was the public relations intern for Integrated Sports Marketing. She managed the ISM Facebook and Twitter accounts, as well as the Strasburg 5K Facebook, Celebrity Championship Facebook and Celebrity Championship Twitter.
