Thanasi Glavas is the Business and Community Development Manager for San Diego based non profit, the World Resources SimCenter. Focused on systemic thinking the SimCenter's mission is to accelerate sustainable development and strategic planning through renewable energy, education, and public engagement on a global and local level.
He is producer and curator with TEDxAmericasFinestCity, a community focused TED organization that brings diverse segments of society together to share ideas. With dozens of events this community has grown to be a connection point for change agents, innovators, entrepreneurs and artists throughout San Diego.
As a founding member of Change Hive, Inc., a public benefit corporation charged with empowering change, he was the Event Manager for San Diego's first ever Mini Maker Faire held at Del Mar Fairgrounds. Continuing the mission to promote and encourage self-education in technical, scientific, and artistic skills Thanasi continues to engage the public with unique experiences and events.
Prior to relocating to San Diego from New York, Thanasi worked in financial media conferences and events.
