Thandisizwe Mgudlwa, is a Mentor, Coach, Sports Legend, Sports Development Professional, Media Expert, Consultant & Entrepreneur from Cape Town, South Africa.
He is also an internationally acclaimed Journalist of 20 years, former Associated Press (AP) Writer, a bestselling author of the children's book, KIDDIES WORLD, and a multiple-award winning journalist and Business Editor, based in Cape Town, South Africa.
Thandisizwe is the Chairperson of the Phandulwazi (Seek-Knowledge), a community based organization (CBO). Phandulwazi has trained thousands of artisans, artists,professionals and entrepreneurs.
PHANDULWAZI and the Cape Chamber of Commerce and Industry, under the directorship of Albert Schuitmaker,initiated the N2 Gateway Housing Project, which is one of the biggest housing developments in South Africa and SADC.
Yesteryear, Thandisizwe played and won numerous awards & honours in many sports including Soccer, Primary & High School Sports like Soccer and Athletics, Road Running & Cross Country. He has also participated in other sports like Boxing, Volleyball, Mini-Cricket, Badminton, Basketball, Rugby & Table Tennis. Thandisizwe has been involved with
Sports & Recreation Councils as an Administrator and volunteer and he is a committed Sport Development Professional.
He has written extensively on sport in various groups including The Associated Press (AP), focusing exclusively on the 2010 Soccer World Cup in South Africa. And Thandisizwe wrote and reported on Sport during his Reporter Cadet Training at the Cape Times in mid 1999 - mid
2000; later with City Vision, City Press, Sowetan, The African Journalist, Cape Township Times, Techmoran, Africa Business, The New Age, The Southern Times among others.
Since 2012, Thandisizwe has written opinions &analysis, editorials, features and news for News24, Sports24 and Soccer Laduma (which is the biggest sports publication in Africa).
He is Founder/Owner of Thandisizwe · Sport program at schools. This is a Mass Schools Sport Participation Programme.
In 2020, Thandisizwe has joined forces with the World Tennis Foundation and the Tab Tennis Foundation, with the set goal of reaching 2000-3000 by the end of 2020.
