In today’s world, keeping up in the day of tomorrow is an utmost critical skill. With the instantaneous nature of information and “at your fingertips” entertainment, how could we not get caught up in enjoyment and excess? I have dedicated my education to the idea that we must communicate our views and research in the most efficient way possible. Attention spans are shortening and people are disinterested in their own communities.
I am a senior at Buffalo State College studying Computer Information Systems. Having worked with computers for the vast majority of my life, I have an intimate connection with technology. As such I have worked to get a degree in the discipline I love. In order to expand my ability to address today’s issues I have put a minor focus in Social Issues and writing. While attending Buffalo State, I worked as a Help Desk Associate supporting students and faculty alike, solving software and hardware issues. I was invited to the National Student Exchange after attaining an overall GPA of 3.75. I chose North Carolina as my destination to continue to pursue my career in Information Technology and to work with some of the best technology companies in the States.
My goal is to better social policy through technology and to get people involved in their communities, countries, and the world. To care about this earth, and the pursuit of knowledge.
