Thasha Gunaseelan graduated with a law degree but was involved in the PR and Advertising agency. Though her pleasant nature suited the line, she knew she had a calling and it wasn't in this line either. While helping out shortly teaching kids she realised this is what she's passionate about. She found a job in Blubricks Learning Studio, where she combined her passion for teaching with her other passion, the performing arts.

She first discovered her love for theatre when she had her debut performance in 2006 in 59 Minutes by The Oral Stage. While working in the corporate sector, she was still involved in a few church productions, did marketing for 'How I Learnt to Drive' by The Oral Stage, performed with Mia Palencia in 2008 and 2009, and also was a judge in a public speaking tournament in 2011. Currently, as a speech and drama teacher, she has advised and directed a couple of school productions and also wrote and directed a mini showcase for her teens' class. She was an assistant director for Bites of Delights, a children’s theatre production which won 2 Kakiseni Awards and directed George’s Marvellous Medicine and The Tailor Made Man which won 1 Kakiseni Award. Her recent stints in acting includes the Short and Sweet Arts Festival in 2013, Homecoming and Veil in 2014. In 2015, besides being an ensemble for Uda dan Dara, she had a supporting role in a KFC Raya ad and a Spritzer ad, and co-produced, directed and wrote Lovesical. In 2016, she acted in a supporting role in a telemovie, Cahaya Muthusamy by Palyground Productions.

In 2017, She just shot her short film Us, which was written and directed by her which is targeted for film festivals. She also played the lead role in the film She is also producing 2 theatre productions as well as a producer for an international voice over project.

2018, was a hectic year as she was also planning her wedding. But she managed to write, produce and act in The Becoming Of which is at the moment being revamped for a restaging.

2019 marked new beginnings for her as she joined YKLS and performed with them The Great American Songbook, and Let's Rock 2 which was by KLPAC, acted in an Anomalist Production, Projek K3 as well as a short film by Paul Gan which is waiting to participate in film festivals as well as winning a Festival Director's Award for Short and Sweet Musical.
