Carioca

[kaɾiˈɔkɐ]

is a demonym used to refer to anything related to the City of Rio de Janeiro as well as its eponymous State of Rio de Janeiro, in Brazil.

My journey into nude photography started innocently enough back in 2002, when a friend needed someone to help him practice using lights and photographic technique. Unfortunately (or perhaps, fortunately, for all of us now) I am not really into fashion, so instead we started doing nude shots and I noticed that I felt really comfortable with it... In fact, I found I was able to express myself a lot more easily doing nude shots in front of a camera than I could when interacting with people at a party.
