Greetings Visitor!

I believe in the power of stories. Stories build our politics, our history, our very reasons for being. We often consider the narratives we use to explain the overwhelming complexity of the world to be revealed, unquestionable truths. We remain blind to power dynamics that enable the construction and reconstruction of dominant narratives; thus consent for the status quo is manufactured through the tacit acceptance of inherited stories.

21st-century digital tools have changed the power structures of story-making. If only for a brief moment, we saw the complete democratization of storytelling. However, since the rise of social media, digital monopolies have solidified - as have echo-chambers, modern propaganda, and global neo-fascism - creating new ways for the powerful to simultaneously control and distort stories in their favor. Massive collection of psychographic data, microtargeted advertising, and gigantic government surveillance systems have left us trapped within inhumane structures of surveillance capitalism and turnkey tyranny.

My call to action is to for everyone to seek to not only understand, but resist this radical inhumanity. Digital tools have powerful uses for good, but overall they have negatively impacted our mental health, our social cohesion, and our democratic institutions. The only way to resist a system that seeks to atomize us, commodify our attention, and erode our humanity is with a radical commitment to moral rejuvenation and revitalization. It is with connections not built upon algorithmic preference, but a universal commitment to the common good. That being said, follow me on Instagram and smash that motherfucking like button. Yours in confidence,
