Pamela Jordan
Washington, DC Metro Area
I'm Bay Area born and raised. I say "Hella". I will always have the Bay in my heart, but I love to check out new places and stay a little while: South Beach, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Jacksonville, Chicago, and Washington, DC.
Who I am: a writer inside, a college admissions rep on the outside until August 2014. Our campus will be closing so I'm currently seeking my next adventure in Northern VA/Washington, DC centered around Communications, Human Resources, Public Relations, or Marketing. I'm sharp, a quick study, creative, and an organizational ninja. I'm committed to helping community members find ways to do better. I volunteer for software training classes and job search workshops and will continue to do so in DC. If anyone can find a job doing just about anything it's me. Where I've been having fun: a record label, a recording studio, enterainment law (ok, not fun), makeup artist, government contracting and office management. I've done a lot- almost everything I said I was going to do by 40- and have walked away from downsizing with only minor scrapes. I fear no start up. Now it's time to focus on what will make a small difference in this world.
What I believe: We are not earthly creatures having rare spiritual moments. We're spiritual beings having temporary earthly experiences. I understand the importance of candlelight, synchronicity, listening to the snow fall late at night, sitting still and getting quiet, a good belly laugh, integrity, a nice long nap, a well stocked bookstore, always having art supplies on hand, a simple thank you, a wild thunderstorm in the summer, unconditional acceptance, unexpected good, a perfectly grilled steak, karma, catching "Sara Smile" and "I Would Die 4 U" on the radio, an amazing kiss, perfect red wine (Ferrari Carano, please), perfect red lipstick, cooking for the best of friends followed by tipsy Pictionary battles, arguing fairly and loving lavishly. I'm great at keeping people honest. The next big things? Buy a home, adopt a great dog, write a book, and an island in the sun for a week or two...you comin'?
