Only a surfer knows the feeling...drop in, lean into a bottom turn...pull up...put your hand out and touch the face of god.
I'm Mike Ford...real estate is my business, and business is good. It allows me to be as creative and ambitious or as lazy as I please. It's always there for me and it's been very good to me, and my clients, too. Few industries permit such flexibility and let a guy go for a surf when it's necessary.
I have deep experience in all the common elements of the real estate trade...marketing, negotiation...blah blah blah, but the real difference between me and the next guy is that my skill set, resume and my rolodex kick the snot out of 99% of everyone else you might run across. There you have it...that's what's in it for YOU. Lots of folks out there have real estate licenses...unfortunately most can't find their ass with two hands.
My decades in the building trades (I still run a successful contracting and flipping and rehab company) fit perfectly with the stuff i like to do...flipping and rehabbing rentals.
My decades as a property manager have given me a solid sense of what a good looking investment looks like...and what the sure losers look like.
There are very few situations I haven't encountered in my twenty five 25 years as a broker. I've been in on everything from little $40k condos and $3.5 million dollar condo conversion projects. Everything from modest little rundown houses that smell like feet and ass to prime ocean view acreage on Oahu's north shore. I've arranged financing for guys that flip homes and guys that just needed a hundred thousand for a few months...and everytime while wearing surftrunks, and most often rubber slippers.
You see, it's not about a facade of legitimacy...it's about being able to get things done. It's about delivering value for the client in excess of the fees I charge, and it's about knowing more than the next guy. It's about being GENUINELY useful to my clients by knowing my trade, having learned from doing through markets good and bad. It's about being genuinely useful for having been there.
They say past performance is no guarantee of future results...but what else do you have to go by?
