Basic Info:
Hello! My Name is Osama and I am currently a student at Biola University. I was born in the MIddle East and I grew up in California.
Why I want to practice law:
I was told for most of my life that I would make a great lawyer- primarily due to my disregard for following rules and my constant attempts to try and argue my way out of trouble when I got caught. The truth is, I want to practice law because I think its a spectacular use of my time. The laws we follow are all designed to serve a purpose; some are meant to maintain peace, some keep us safe, and some preserve our way of life. I love the gritty details of how how a law came into existence, and how it has been interpreted since its conception. My passion in this regard is to affect change in this field, specifically with laws that do more harm than good. For example, did you know that women can't drive a car wearing a house coat (night gown) in the state of California? I'M SERIOUS! It has to do with ancient values that no longer have space in today's society. Ideally the change I would affect would have bigger consequences and benefits for society, but its all matters to me!
Fun Hobbies: I have only recently discovered a strange passion of mine- Escape Rooms. If you don't know what that means, I understand it could sound strange. Basically, you got to a company that puts you in a themed room and locks the only way out- you and your friends have to solve a series of puzzles to find the key to escape. Its a lot of fun and my friends and I get a huge kick out of it. I am also a big fan of road trips. Driving on the open road with my pals in the car is possibly my favorite thing to do. When coupled with a cool destination, I know I will have a great time!
