The Messenger

The Messenger™ Our Mission The Messenger™ is a user-friendly facilitator’s guide that is being created to assist novice as well as skilled trainers/presenters in raising community awareness and action against domestic violence. The overall aim is for these facilitators, who shall become known as 'messengers,' is to become a part of a cohesive network of advocates who shall make the commitment to raise social consciousness and galvanize their communities out of the shadows of secrecy in which intimate partner violence has thrived.

The Messenger™ shall equip users with the tools to confidently facilitate awareness training, including instructor's notes, suggested activities, a full segmented powerpoint presentation , case studies and a dvd featuring the lived experiences of survivors of domestic and intimate partner violence (IPV).

Each messenger will play a vital role through delivery of general informational workshops targeting diverse segments of the population, including schools, civic groups, religious institutions and businesses.
