Thea Lao

I am currently living in Dubai, where I work at DP World Head Office as a Projects Financial Specialist. I’m a University Graduate of Business Management and currently finishing my ACCA qualification. I’ve been here for the past 8 years and still counting. Beside from my job, I have few businesses going on and one of them is founding the WhynotDubai which focuses in providing travel and events solutions in Dubai to Scandinavian and British Corporate partners. I have a strong entrepreneurship background. I have an itch in business, I can talk forever about it and like socializing, business comes to me naturally.

When I have spare time, I love spending it with my friends and family. I’m the social butterfly in the group and loves to mingle and meet new people. Being in a diverse place like Dubai made me develop a level of diplomacy in mixing with different cultures and backgrounds; It is the most beautiful art of life I’ve ever experienced. I love travelling and discovering new places and experience different cultures. I am very ambitious, persistent and I deliver. I’m a high dreamer. I don’t get contented. I always believe that you only die once, you live every day! And every day is a chance to follow your dreams. I try to inspire people and push their limitation as I do. I’m a risk taker. If you don’t go after what you want, you’ll never have it. Apart from my father, I’m a self-mentored individual. I’ve gained and loss loved ones and failed many times in my life but the scars led my life to where I am now and will always be my guidance.
