Hi, I’m Amwaj or Salama I have 2 names (امواج او سلامة). I live my life through many forms of expression—photography, music, coding, and painting. Each of these creative passions offers me a unique way to connect with the world, especially as someone who lives with autism. Autism shapes how I see and interact with the world, giving me a deep sense of focus, creativity, and a unique perspective on life.

Photography allows me to capture the world around me in ways that others might miss. I find beauty in the smallest details—whether it’s the way light falls on a leaf, a fleeting moment between two people, or the intricate textures of nature. Through my lens, I try to show others how I see the world: vibrant, full of stories, and never short on wonder.

Music is another form of connection for me. Playing instruments, letting melodies flow, and feeling the rhythms of sound allow me to express emotions I sometimes can’t put into words. Music is a language that transcends barriers—it’s a way I can feel understood, and it provides a sense of freedom and release.

As a coder, I find peace in the structure of logic. Coding is like creating a world from scratch, where everything works together in harmony. It’s an art form of its own, where creativity meets precision, and I love the challenge of solving problems and bringing ideas to life through technology.

Painting is where I truly let my soul speak. I paint not just to create but to release, to express what’s in my heart and mind without restrictions. Each brushstroke is a way for me to channel my emotions into something tangible, a way to bring peace to my thoughts through colors and shapes.

Living with autism means I experience the world deeply. I’m hypersensitive to details, patterns, and connections that others might overlook. While that can make life challenging, it also fuels my creativity and gives me a unique approach to everything I do. I always find ways to enjoy life—even when things get tough. Whether I’m lost in a photograph, a piece of music, a line of code, or a painting, I always find beauty in life’s journey.
