The neighborhood is crime-addled, just check the Brookhaven Police Department crime report for the past three months: kidnapping, hit and run for starters. The grounds at the rental community are covered in rubbish and the parking lot hosts an array of abandoned beaters.
Some tenants smoke marijuana from sun up to down in some buildings, and if their neighbors complain, the property management will take the time to print and post on all units a letter stating that if someone has a complaint about it, they had better go to the police (because they property management is only interested in one thing -- how much they can make off of you).
The Ashford Apartment Homes will run for a dollar, but leave black mold and cockroaches for you to manage on your own. Forget about understanding the service charges that keep piling. They come up with charges for your water from September -- in January. Getting your account paid in full with the property management is like trying to dig to China. If you make the mistake of renting from this terrible community, then make sure you pay the rent early because they LOVE to lock the office doors up and hide with their cellphones on silent on the last day before late fees get assigned. And forget about whatever rate they quote you up front. Just go ahead and add about $100-150 on top of that amount because they WILL find a way to get that much more out of you.
It's a shame they run this place like a bunch of juveniles because they run off every good tenant who comes in with their shady misinformation. Honesty really is the best policy -- and honestly, you should think twice before settling on these overpriced, run-down residences.
A former tenant has suggested that they #forged an account balance and may face charges in #DeKalb #civilcourt over the matter.
The Georgia Real Estate Commission might like to know if they erroneously have licensed an #agent working there who #commitsfraud and #falsifies #realestate #financial #records.
