The Athena Project

mentor, lobby, and educate in England, United Kingdom

Back my campaign

The Athena project is a mentorship programme for female BAME scholars in Higher & Further Education in the UK. Our primary objective is to respond to unequal opportunity and access for female BAME scholars at varying levels of Higher Education by supporting our community in a number of different ways, including but not limited to, mentorship.

We are an inclusive liberationist mentorship scaffold, and a solution based advocacy which values equality & diversity, gender equity, inclusive global citizenship, enabling special needs, LGBTQI liberation and promoting mental health awareness & support. Primarily, we aim to promote female BAME scholarship and academic attainment by supporting our scholars within a mentorship programme and providing them with a cluster of mentors and sponsors, customised to their specific aspirations and challenges.

Our secondary objectives include institutional advocacy and organisational lobbying on a variety of allied issues that intersection or impact our primary objective.
