Muizenberg Dramatic Society also known as MADS is a Cape Town, community-based theatre group presenting many live stage productions at the Masque Theatre in Muizenberg.

At MADS we uphold and strive towards professionalism in our performances and all that we do, and although we are categorised as amateur theatre (in the sense that our members do not earn their living as actors), our approach – preparation, quality of productions and commitment – is of professional standard.

Becoming an active member of MADS will provide you with the opportunity to be part of our thespian village and experience, share and live out your love of theatre with like-minded people. Theatre background is not important and getting involved is easy, as easy as joining our society. There are many fields besides directing and acting in which to get involved, such as props making and backstage props management, set building, painting and decoration, costume design and production, stage management, lighting or sound operating, ushering, box office duties, refreshments and bar serving duties and many more. We need your talents and we have a niche for your specific skills and interests.
