My name is Mike Wright and I am The Backyard Pitmaster. I have been cooking professionally since 1976 and opened two successful restaurants, including Brave New Deli Gourmet Sandwich Shop. This is where I began my barbecue career selling pulled pork and beef brisket sandwiches to our hungry customers.
Currently I can be found in the sanctuary of my own backyard cooking up my styles of contest level and good old-fashioned "eat over the sink" barbecue.
