Who is the Church Lady?

The Church Lady is your Grandma, your Big Mama, your Dear, your Nana, your Mimi, your Mom, your Maw Maw, your Mama, your Mother, your Big Sister, your favorite Auntie or Cousin , your Sunday School Teacher, your Youth Director, your BFF, your Girlfriend, your Sweet Neighbor Next Door, your Cherished Wife, your beloved Mother-in-law… She is any of these, all of these and sometimes several of them all at the same time. Who she is just depends on who you need her to be when you need her and how you need her.

The Church Lady is kind and loving, but she is going to dish it so if you can’t stand the heat, then you just might not want to come into this kitchen because everything here is salty, savory, always well -seasoned, but sometimes habanera hot! This girl is southern, so she brings every word with a lil’ bit of cayenne spicy red pepper, which means sometimes she drops it real hot, but she’s always a lady and the Lord is always in control. Shucks, that’s probably because He’s the only one who can control her anyway!

The Church Lady can be a little naive, but she is full of wisdom, mother’s wit and word. Now don’t take her sharpness and her bite or her country candor for granted because she is a book whose cover is not easily read. Although she sometimes creates her own words and speaks with a dialect and occasionally uses southern slang; she is extremely smart and if it is one thing that she knows, it’s her BIBLE. However, she’s not into debating so if you are looking for that kind of brawl you won’t find it here ya’ll, because she believes that everyone has the right to their own opinion; it’s just that most of the times she believes that hers is the right one. Now political correctness sometimes goes on reject around here, but if you are looking for the gospel truth then you are in the right place!
