The Cole Family

The Coles live in Louisville, KY where Pat attends Southern Baptist Theological Seminary for a Masters in Divinity. Pat served in the Marine Corps Reserves for 6 years and did 2 tours to Iraq with Mike Battery out of Chattanooga, TN. He then committed another 6 years of service in the Army National Guard and is finishing his current contract to transition into serving in the local church. They have been married throughout the military contracts and just celebrated their 10th anniversary. Pat and Lauren have worked through many ups and downs in their marriage that often are associated with deployments and adjusting to coming home from deployments.

The Coles have a heart for coming alongside veterans and their families, especially those who deal with PTSD, and encourage them to find hope in the One who saves, Jesus. According to recent statistics from veteransandptsd.com, 50% of veterans who have PTSD do not get treatment and a RAND study showed that half of those who did seek treatment said it was "minimally adequate" treatment. They have experienced first hand how the body of believers filled in the gaps where the "minimally adequate" treatment just didn't cut it. This took genuine, dedicated and loving Christians to gently guide, correct and encourage this veteran and his family in Truth. Because of this, Pat and Lauren are passionate about helping others in similar situations out of empathy. They do not claim to be perfect or have it all figured out, but are committed to an ever-changing presentation about the unchanging message of grace and truth.

Pat and Lauren sold their house and over half their belongings to support themselves through seminary. They are in the process of growing their financial and prayer team.
