The Conscious Kitchen
Earth
I love food. I love to cook and I love to eat. I have practised a vegetarian-nearing vegan lifestyle on and off for the last 30 years and, while I don't hold anyone to a vegetarian standard, I simply want people to make good choices in the food that they buy and prepare for themselves at home. This includes meat! While I would love to see a completely vegetarian planet I realise this is not exactly a reality. The next best thing is to have people instead utilise resources available to them and choose more locally grown/raised foods, foods that have been humanely and sustainably (or at least as close to sustainable as one could get!) grown. Easy-peasy! Really! And this is where I come in, to make it THAT much easier for you, reconfiguring your kitchen, your shopping habits, and your cooking style(s).
My story:
I have had a love affair with food since I first took the reins of my diet and well-being- and the well-being of the planet- and began cooking vegetarian meals for myself 30 years ago at the age of 14, upon making the decision for myself at that time to become vegetarian. From that same pinnacle year in my youth I have explored a multitude of food, health, and body related fields: multi-national cooking, naturopathic medicine, sustainable practices for eating, the list goes on. I was so very blessed to grow in the company of cultures of nearly every country on this fine planet- in and near New York City, the world's melting pot- and thanks to a multitude of international travel over the last 13 years I have expanded my repetoire considerably since then! I am one food-driven woman and I love sharing the experience of cooking and eating with friends and family, and pretty much everyone really!
