the CROSS examination

Who am I? It might be the first question you have or the furthest thought from your mind. Is my identity really important? Why do you want to know?

Well, I will tell you this: I am a follower of Jesus. I seek to understand His thoughts, His dreams, His heart. I want to follow His every move and be a tool in His hands. Most of all, I want to know what this looks like.

Do you ever wonder about the many disagreements within Christianity? Do you question the fundamental differences between denominations? Do you wonder what part you are to play in it all? How you are supposed to follow?

These are the thoughts that run through my mind day after day. They are the questions that present themselves to me when I lease expect.

I don't expect that I'll ever answer them all... I probably won't answer even half. In fact, I'm not really worried about answers, I just want to think. I want others to think. Why have we lost all passion for deep thought and growth? Why have we stopped seeking to know more deeply the One who holds our hearts?

No matter where you are in your spiritual walk, no matter what you believe now, no matter what you used to believe...stay teachable, learn from God's Word, learn from His presence, His love, His correction.
