John S Clarke MBE

Born in Portsmouth, with most preschool years in Malta, schooling in Stevenage and joined the Royal Navy directly from school.

Navy career was firstly as a Marine Engineering Mechanic on a Frigate based in the far east. Retrained as a Weapons Electrical Mechanic and served the rest of my Navy career on Submarines.

I left the Service to marry my wife Lesley and transferred to the the Ministry of Defence (Navy), continuing to work with submarines until being transferred into a major Defence Company within which I was provided with the opportunities to develop new non-defence business enterprises before moving into the Nuclear Industry.

I worked for a short period for a large independent church near Edinburgh.

Whilst travelling extensively worldwide, residing primarily in Scotland during my working career, Lesley and I relocated to Berkshire to take up new employment roles in 2009.
